Soundchief Singers
- The Soundchief Singers were assembled in the early 1950s and were chosen for their reknown singing abilities.
- James Anquoe, a clan brother of Linn Pauahty, was also a composer of many songs which included the nationally known “Kiowa Flag Song” and the “Thunderbird Song.”
- The “Thunderbird Song” was composed for the Oklahoma National Guard unit, comprised of all Indians, known as the Thunderbird Division. Its logo was designed by another Kiowa, artist Woodrow Big Bow.
