The Linn D. Pauahty Foundation is a 501-c-3 non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve in song and story the rich heritage of the American Indian people. This campaign is a wonderful opportunity for all interested persons to play a role in preserving and extending our precious Indian culture into the future.
Donations are tax deductible and a tax donation document will be issued to each donor at the end of each calendar year.
Donations will be used to establish a scholarship fund for higher education. Linn Pauahty highly valued education and always advocated for young Indian people to pursue higher education and return to help their tribal community. His father, Tannehaudle, spoke at the Last Great Council in the early 1930’s and said “The old ways are gone. The only way for our young people to bring honor to their families and the tribe is to learn the way of the white man and become educated.” The scholarship fund will be offered to Indian students who are pursuing an education in Indian Studies, History and the Arts, to include dance and music.
Donations will also be used to fund the video documentaries for educating people about such issues as Indian Art, Spirituality and Dance. A separate production featuring the life and work of Jesse Ed Davis, the first young Indian musician to be a part of rock music is in pre-production. Training videos on diabetes have also been developed and will begin production soon.
